Orthopaedic Surgeon: Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist

Mr Duy Thai is an Orthopaedic Surgeon sees patients with all types of orthopaedic conditions, including:

• joint replacement for chronic hip, knee and shoulder arthritis
  • sporting injuries
  • fractures

He also has a particular interest in upper limb conditions, having completed an Upper Limb Fellowship with an emphasis on:

• arthroscopic treatment of rotator cuff tears
  • subacromial impingement and bursitis
  • recurrent shoulder dislocations
  • frozen shoulder

Mr Thai completed his initial medical training at the University of Melbourne, attaining his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2000. He then went on to complete his Diploma of Surgical Anatomy at Melbourne University Private in 2004 and in, 2011, became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Orthopaedics). He has also contributed to many medical publications and presentations. As well as consulting at NWSC, Mr Thai sees private patients at Sunshine Private Consulting Suites and Northpark Private Consulting Suites. He also holds public appointments at Northern and Western Hospitals.

Mr Thai can also converse fluently in Vietnamese.
